Teen Charged With Dwai After Driver, Passenger Trapped In Single-Vehicle Crash On Taconic

An 18-year-old teen was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol following a crash that trapped both the driver and a passenger.

The crash took place around 8:55 p.m. Thursday on the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley, said Trooper AJ Hicks with the New York State Police.

The unidentified driver of the 2017 Honda Accord was treated at MidHudson Regional for minor injuries. The passenger was not injured.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2019.
